Humanity
Description:
Humans are the weakest race and yet of the greatest number and diversity among Trinor with over fifty-seven percent of the population of the world being humans. While physically weaker than Giants and Dwarves, and not nearly as nimble as the Fey or Elves, humans have their own power which make them tend to be a wild card - their high potential. A human can literally be anything they want and enjoy moderate to high success whereas the other races of the world have more specialized intentions. Humans can also adapt to many environments, known to live in both the South and North. Due to their genetic diversity, Humans have no defined racial features.

The Fae
Description:
The Fae originally hail from the 'Plane of Nature', however it has been one-thousand years since the gate to their natural home was sealed by unknown sources. Since then, the Fae have mostly lived in the wild places of the world, however there is a small settlement of the Fae within the bounds of the 'civilized world'. The Fae are extremely lithe of body with slanted and arced features. Their hair and eye colour tend to be of earthy hues, and often horns will grow from their head. You can tell a Fae's age roughly by the amount of horns on his crown, as these immortal beings are always young.

The Elves
Description:
Until recently, none would imagine inter-breeding between the Fae and Humans, however with the gate that leads to the Planes sealed, some Fae have either re-thought their philosophy on breeding while others have fell in love in human heroes. Whatever the reason, the result is always the birth of an Elf. Elves are a mixture of the Fae's innate ability and the human versatility to create an unusual breed. Some elves serve as soldiers for the Fae while others live a care-free and 'normal' life.

Description:
Giants, known to be massive machines of war, are often enough drawn into war by their allies, the Fae of the winter court. Giants are horned humanoid creatures standing at anywhere from seven to nine feet tall. Giants have been known to live among the northern wastes where the forces of the winter court make their home however occasionally a Giant will wander into the three duchies, or be born there. These rare ones often join the side of good, as they are generally treated less like a slave, though still with some level of apprehension.

The Dwarves of mountain Garaz Marok are the last of the dying race, and live under the reign of the 'Last King' King Enderos Tartanos. Dwarves are a mysterious race which have rarely been seen among the annals of history, though when they do appear it is usually to the aid of the light. They are extremely hardy and highly strong, and are known to be very stubborn, however when their lord speaks they listen, as they hold their lord in the regard of a living god. Dwarves are known to be the finest smiths and are fearless warriors in the face of adversity, though many dwarves shun the way of the forge and prefer other paths..

Magic-Touched (Sparks)
Description:
Magic-touched, often referred to as Sparks, are a humans, that by some trick of magic or the intervention of magical beings, have become part elemental. For the most part, they are just as diverse as humans, but each has a few recognizable features based on which element they are most closely connected to:
Fire: Glowing red, orange, or yellow eyes, pale or ashen skin, bands of fire that appear around their arms/legs when worked up. Higher than average body temperature.
Water: Bright blue, purple, or green eyes, fin-like protrusions on their arms and back. Lower than average body temperature.
Earth: Brown, black or green eyes, tan/dark skin, earthen 'gauntlets' and 'greaves' on their lower arms and legs respectively.
Lightning: Glowing Yellow or blue eyes, brightly colored hair, bolt-shaped markings that produce sparks of electricity when angered. Generally energetic.
Wind: Silver, blue, or purple eyes, pale skin, 'wisps' that trail off their body when moving, constantly followed by a light breeze.
It's said that the original magic-touched were created when humans got 'too close' to an elemental, but they've been around for so long that no one really knows the truth any more, it might have just been the result of a magic experiment gone wrong. The Magic-Touched are currently fairly intermingled with human society, though isolated communities still exist as remnants from darker times. Said communities tend to hold a deep resentment toward humans for the wrongs that were done to them in the past.

A Drakonian has a higher average body temperature than an average human. This is attributed to their innate fire magic.
