Crystalline Forest

Known as the jewel of the Western Prefecture, the Merchant Town of Shang Wu is the entry point for most visitors into the Grand Shogunate of Cathay and as such is known as the absolute center of trade and mercantile of the Shogunate. Unlike Kyoto-Ten and Kyoshu, this large town has a chaotic structure to it though mostly follows traditional chinese architecture. Due to the chaotic structuring, only the inner city is protected by walls, though the city itself receives some protection from its surrounding Teshio River on the south and east sides with gates primarily north and west. The west gate, known as the Gate of the Kings, is hailed by two immaculate stone statues of the Shogunate's founders.
