The Draconian known simply as Rakk has recently taken up residence near the Citadel of Frostvale in a clearing roughly a mile out from that location. Rakk decidedly ventured away from their temporary dwelling, tossing snow on hot embers to put the fire out. Rakk now ventured through the snow-blanketed areas where they seemed to stick out like a sore thumb. This was a challenge to Rakk to find ways to conceal their body while within such starkly different environments.
Rakk lets out a soft breath, breathing quietly and calmly as they focus on their wings and the life energy that flows through them... They slowly use their focused state to match the tips of their wings, to the color of the snow... They know that if they can master controlling what color their wings are, they will practically be done.. Especially since they usually keep themselves swaddled in them as if wearing a cloak of leather.. The wings color is nearly Half changed, Rakk stops and focuses on keeping the color how it is while they rest a little.. After taking a moment to focus on holding the form, they resume working to change the wings completely white!
Rakk rests for a moment, taking a moment to eat a Donut they purchased earlier... After finishing their snack they flex their muscles a bit and resume visualizing the mana, flowing through their body, changing the very nature of their appearance itself. They struggle at first but soon manage to resume where they left off with their training. Picturing the color of the snow around them, focusing on the idea of becoming that color.
Rakk lets out a quiet sigh as they feel a change sweep over their body, as if a wave from the sea gently laps over the sand, slowly but surely reaching further as the tide comes in. Sweeping over anything that happens to be wedged into the shore. Rakk slowly opens their eyes and looks down at themselves. It seems that they were indeed successful in changing color. Rakk's arms, wings, legs, and body; All of it is white as snow. The flaw however, was that the could not hold this complete version of Chameleon for too long and soon the colors faded as Rakk's body grew heavy with the loss of mana. Rakk quickly adjusted themself and prepared to attempt the form again once they had consumed a confection that was said to restore mana.
Rakk spots a glimpse of themselves in some ice nearby once he has once again become the snow and realizes rather embarrassingly that they forgot to include their head in the color-changing application of Chameleon. Rekk's cheeks gain a red complexion at the fault, but they take time to recompose themself. Rekks closely watches their Reflection this time in order to make sure they can affirm that the changed color to them is fully complete this time! They begin to once more send insubstantial amounts of Mana through their nervous system to jump-start the ability, watching as they successfully cover spots they missed on the other attempts. Rakk then releases a 'Yip' of glee at recognizing they have finally learned this ability. Rakk then attempts the ability again, this time solely using the sensation caused when their skin changed color the first few times and report success with this method. Now, they can manifest the ability for much longer times.
Pleased with the results of their training, Rakk decides to squeeze in one last bit of practice. They focus their Mana into their legs and remember the sensation of wind flowing under their wings, and leaps into the air expelling magical energy to launch themselves higher than a typical Jump!
Rakk is dissatisfied with that attempt and decides to try again, bringing the feeling if the wind on their body back to mind as they repeat the process a second time with more feeling.
Rakk is satisfied for now and spreads their wings, flying off to their next destination, uncertain as it may be for onlookers, Rakk knows exactly where they are going.
