Note: A typical Gunlance can be collapsed to be carried on the user's back when out of use, and has a sort of short ranged Cannon that functions similar to a revolver built into it, holding at least 6 Charges that can be reloaded in a single action. The following are advanced forms of Gunlances that may function slightly differently than the typical Unaltered E-B rank Gunlances.
Name: Standard Elemental Gunlance
Type: Weapon
Rank: D - B
Description: The appearance of an Elemental Gunlance can Vary depending on the chosen Element and materials used to make it. While typical Gunlances carry explosive shells, an Elemental Gunlance carries special Element infused shells that deal damage according to the element chosen at the Gunlances creation. An elemental Gunlance cannot carry more than one elemental shell type. Due to the unstable nature of combining elemental power in the Shot Shells, this type of Gunlance Rarely holds four charges at once. The resulting risk (from possessing too many shells) of a misfire could prove catastrophic for the Wielder and nearby allies.
Name: Magis Gunlance
Type: Weapon
Rank: C - A
Description: This Gunlance is actually much more of a Modified Rapier. It is short enough to be swung around like a typical Sword or Rapier and consequently doesn't need the ability to be collapsed for someone to carry it around on their back. A major disadvantage to this weapon's smaller frame and size is the reduced number of shots it holds, and the reduced size of its blasts. As such, the Magis Gunlance typically only has one shot charge before requiring a reload, however, Magis Gunlances of A Rank Materials sometimes have two shot charges. While it is possible to make Magis Gunlances that are of typical Gunlance size, very few of its users ever do order such, namely because, as the name implies, This Gunlance is specially designed for those that prefer casting magic and using powers from a distance, the likes of whom usually have less physical strength than those whom like to ride into battle on the front lines.
Having been made for Casters, this Gunlance serves as an excellent catalyst for offensive Magic as well. This means that if a caster channels the power through the weapon, it reduces the Mana consumed by one rank. There are some drawbacks to this Enchantment:
1st, The delicate material of the Magis Gunlance prevents it from being able to muster the energy to use S-rank Magic Powers while also having a problem with mustering too much energy, making it unable to use E-rank Magic Powers unless the said power has been imbued into the shell itself which presents it's own problems.
2nd, Using the Magis Gunlance for the purposes of reducing Power Costs, renders the Charge in the blade Inert, and it will not explode if fired afterward, nor will the weapon reduce the cost of the next power used unless it is reloaded before casting.
3rd, this Gunlance is incapable of firing a "Wyvern's Fire" blast. In extremely rare cases where a Magis Gunlance is made to be capable of it, the weapon is always destroyed, and becomes little more than a pile of scrap.
Name: Ballistic Gunlance
Type: Weapon
Rank: C
Description: This Gunlance does not carry Shells like the average Gunlance. Instead of firing Explosive Shots at short range, this Gunlance fires Bullets like basic Firearms! Due to the size of the ammo being used, this Gunlance can be manufactured and purchased in the size of typical swords, earning it the shorter nickname "Gunblade." There have been rare modified versions of this weapon that are Dagger Sized and hold only 3 bullets instead of the typical 6, but such modified versions are rare, much higher ranked, and frowned upon since they typically are enchanted to produce no sound for use by Assassins.
Name: Elite Guardian Gunlance
Type: Weapon
Rank: A
Description: Some who use the Gunlance abandon using it in favor of more easier or straight forward weapons... This Gunlance is for those who choose to stay with the weapon even once they've long surpassed the usefulness of the average Gunlance. This Gunlance has a reduced payload of 4 Shells, but for true masters of the Gunlance, this is more than enough to defeat 2 or 3 foes. This weapon possesses a special design that allows its shots to be attuned to a wielder's Affinity, freely changing to the Affinity the Wielder decides to use for the currently loaded Shot at the cost of infusing D rank amount of Mana into the grip. Few of these are ever made due to the low demand, but there are always 1 or 2 around for dedicated Gunlancers.
