Characters and Ranks
Character Rank
Characters possess a rank, determining the absolute magnitude of their character including their Path, Skills, Supernatural Abilities, Magic Powers, and Styles/Forms. The character's rank also determines the degree of either laborious training or natural talent which the character may currently possess and presents one possible path of forward momentum out of many which the character may possess.
E-Rank: Characters that are just beginning their journey and haven't experienced true power whether common-ranked adventurers, commoners, or untrained nobility. These characters tend to have potential however it is simply untapped.
D-Rank: Characters that have begun journeying towards either magical power, physical excellence, or exalted piety. These characters are most often seen as iron-ranked adventurers and members of the middle class, and have begun apprenticeships.
C-Rank: Characters that have come into their own right regarding magical power, physical excellence, or exalted piety. These characters are usually steel-ranked adventurers, minor nobles, and clergymen, and have made a name for themselves.
B-Rank: Characters that more easily utilize magical power, physical excellence, or exalted piety to their own purpose. These characters are usually damascus-ranked adventurers, major nobles and royalty, faction leaders, and bishops or prelates.
A-Rank: Characters that now utilize their magical power, physical excellence, or exalted piety as an extension of themselves. These characters are usually leaders of kingdoms and/or empires or the rare platinum-ranked adventurers.

Rank Growth
Once your character has reached the rank Growth Requirements as listed below for the next rank of your progression, your wish to continue progression may be met in one of two ways. Either by posting a character update listing roleplay threads and quests showing the character has gone above and beyond; or taking the Trial of Marque. This trial is simply undertaken by completing any quest one rank higher than your current rank and having a moderator sign-off on your quest once complete.
Important: Please note that undertaking either method will only progress as high as A-rank and one must consult one of other potential paths for further growth to S-rank.
