Rakk coasts along the wind, practicing making their Wing flaps quieter as the fly towards their destination... They heard a guild house was in the capital city, and are hoping it can give them some work that will put their name out there for better jobs.. Being skilled at not being seen is excellent and is certainly worth more when nobody knows your existence.. Sadly nobody knowing you exist, also means that nobody will think about your name when looking to hire somebody talented... Rakk feels frustrated but doesn't let it effect their training.
Rakk touches down gently on one of the rooftops, using some of their mana to cushion the landing to muffle it as best as they can, all while doing the same mana training with their wings, which gently flap to help land as gracefully and subtly as possible. The skill at which Rakk does things is unnerving to anyone close enough to see, even Rakk feels a tad spooked by how they've silently landed... ("Clearly, this power will require some getting used to..") Rakk thinks to themself.
Learning: Silent Step (2/4 points)
Rakk at least feels confident they haven't caused anyone inside the building, that they've chosen to perch on, any alarm or concern that would normally come from something landing on the roof. They now quietly scan the streets until they Identify the Guild hall, "excellent.. Maybe I'll finally be able to take on a quest worthy of my talents.. Then again, I can't be too picky, I need to build a name for myself if I'm to ever be asked for help in mor serious matters.." they mumble. Having found their objective, Rakk spreads their wings again and glides to the Guild hall, though not attempting to be silent this time, as they don't wish to spook civilians or accidentally land on one because the sound of the fluttering wind on their wings wasn't there to alert them to the presence of an overhead flyer.
As Rakk enters the hall of the Adventurers Guild within the commons of the Capital City of Draconis, they primarily notice a large number of Dragonians gathered into three groups - each sitting at one of the four banquet tables in the guild foyer. The number of people at the guild registrar is in the low teens, mostly humans an elves. Meanwhile, there's no one really hanging around the Quest Board for the moment. As Rakk examines the board, a regal-looking human male wearing the uniform of the regimental guardsmen (the defensive military) walks inside and heads to speak with one of the Guild Aides. Rakk can hear some bits of the conversation, primarily hearing that the Guardsmen were hiring adventurers for some reason or another, and the guardsman asked after the Guildmaster for this location.
Talk considers looking at the board, but their curiosity is piqued by the arriving military man, and they decide to come over and inquire, "Hello, are you looking for assistance with something?" they make sure not to speak while they are mid sentence
"We're hiring on Adventurers to join the Emperor's security detail. The Emperor will be passing through Frostvale and to the Drakenwald Forest." The guardsman said simply in response, having already finished speaking with the aide. He turned around to view the picturesque Rakk with a concerned look on his face. He felt it best to conceal his business dealing with the Guildmaster for now, but trusted adventurers enough to inform Rakk about the other reason for his arrival.
Rakk tilts their head, "just escort him through Frostvale you say?... Why I believe I just came from there... Actually I passed through it on my way back from another job.. Seemed quiet enough both times... but if you feel the need to have an escort, I suppose I could help?" rakk seems fairly capable of helping fight off those that most consider dangerous.
"You'll be joining along with a number of Draco Nivis and Guardsmen, and you'll need to head through to Frostvale before you can get payed. Of course you can continue along to Drakenwald if you want a bigger paycheck, but that would be on you." The guardsman officer replied. He had no doubt the dragonian would want to join to Frostvale, but the trip to Drakenwald Forest was what he was really looking for help with. To say that Emperor Tsuchi was an integral part of the Draconis Empire was an understatement.
The guardsman officer hands Rakk a bound map and then is accepted further into the Adventurers Guild, waving goodbye to the Dragonian as he passed through one of the doors leading further inside. The guild aide, a beautiful elven woman with brunette hair, shuts the door behind and locks it with one of the keys in her possession as per the officer's request.
