Majere is home to hundreds of magician towers and the two magic academies - Majere Royal Academy which teaches a full understanding of magic from a full perspective, and Draco Magus, which is responsible for the dragon mages.

The people of the town are intermixed among Fae and Elves along with Draconians, and use the ancient art of tree singing, to create Ironwood from the boughs of the ancient trees. There are also a number of farmers who grow exotic fruit and vegetables from the stalks of the trees, as well as a contingent of guardsmen who deal with the occasional wyvern menace.

(If you've heard of "rush valley" from "FMA:B" you know what it's like)

Most people of this town are at least tolerant of powers and abilities that passing adventurers have, so long as they don't interfere with their work. Many enjoy baking goods for weary travelers. Some people have begun engaging in a recently developed method for creating a sweet tasting treat, which is created by churning cream for a very long time. Lots of effort goes into creating even just a buckets worth of this, "ice cream," so it is quite expensive.

The capital is surrounded by walls of hardened marble, and bear a lighting system that uses dams to gather natural electricity and power both the street-lamps as well as a tramway system.
